Resource Development Manager

The Resource Development Manager will identify, cultivate and develop education and employer partnerships for the YS3 Program. This position will seek out new individual and workplace relationships within the service area to grow and expand the YS3 program. The Resource Development Manager will work with the YS3 team and service providers to develop new strategies of family engagement. This position will provide resources needed to strengthen and build the youth’s portfolio.

All candidates must possess extensive data entry computer expertise with an ability to build solid databases in Excel. This job emphasizes predictable efficiency and relies heavily on written communication. Applicant must be focused and able to meet the high degree of challenges.

  • Gather and maintain resources to assist with addressing issues around housing, transportation mental and physical well-being
  • Provide access to resources to support academic progress and growth
  • Create community partnerships to expand programing opportunities
  • Create opportunities for youth to explore post-secondary options
  • Create opportunities for partnerships with corporations that offer internships and job shadowing opportunities
  • Develop opportunities for youth to engage with biological families when appropriate
  • Provide monthly reports to YS3 team
  • Actively participate in creation of support plans for youth with IEP’s
  • Attend all scheduled meetings with community partners and DCFS
  • Create a platform for youth in care to change the stigma through opportunities for self-empowerment
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members as well as others
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Broad knowledge and experience in leadership development and management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written skills
  • Broad knowledge and experience in K-12 education
  • Ability to remain current with technology and best practices (ie: Microsoft Office and Google Suites)
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to meetings and conferences as needed
  • Must be able to pass fingerprint and background check
  • Master’s Degree in education, communications, or related field and at least 5 years’ experience working with at-risk/foster care youth
